On 30 and 31 October 2025, the UN Human Rights Council will hold its Social Forum in Geneva with a focus on the contribution of education to the respect, promotion, protection and fulfilment of all human rights for all.
Our Executive Director, Delphine Dorsi, will participate in the panel on 'Education for political rights – Participation, citizenship and voice' sharing her perspective on 'Education for the right to participate in political life and public affairs: Democratic citizenship' (Friday, Assembly Hall, 11h30-12h15).
She will alos participate in a side-event on 'Enhancing the right to education: emerging challenges and enabling factors', organised by UNESCO, Geneva University and the Swiss Commission for UNESCO. This roundtable will explore evolving dimensions of the right to education in response to contemporary challenges. Drawing on the Special Issues, panellists will share perspectives on how to strengthen legal and policy frameworks to ensure education systems are inclusive, equitable, and resilient (Thursday, Room VII, 13h-15h).
