On 9 June 2022, RTE participated in a Save the Children led webinar entitled “How to advance Child Rights using recommendation from UN & Regional Human Rights monitoring & Review Process”.
This was the fourth webinar in a series which accompanies the launch of the HOW TO CHILD RIGHTS series of tools and resources, developed by Save the Children in close collaboration with a range of civil society organisations. HOW TO CHILD RIGHTS compiles numerous practical, high quality, tried and tested tools and guidance on new and emerging themes related to children's rights. The purpose of the series is to support effective programming and advocacy for children’s rights across the civil society sector.
The focus of the webinar was the effective use of UN and Regional Human rights monitoring and review processes for advancing children’s rights, and accompanied the launch of the guide “How to Advance Children’s Rights using Recommendations from United Nations and Regional Human Rights Monitoring and Review Processes”. This document was endorsed by RTE, and is also available in French and Spanish.
RTE’s Executive Director Delphine Dorsi discussed RTE’s reporting and research on inequalities in higher education in France, in addition to advocacy work in the UK. Other speakers included Mona M’Bikay, Save the Children; Adiam Zemenfes, ACERWC; Benoit Van Keirsbilck, CRC member; and Laure Abado, Save the Children.
