This volunteer role is a unique opportunity to use your skills and talents doing important work whilst gaining valuable work experience in a major international NGO.

The Right to Education Project (RTE), housed at ActionAid International in London, is a collaborative initiative between ActionAid, Amnesty International, the Global Campaign for Education, Save the Children and Human Rights Watch. RTE promotes mobilisation and accountability on the right to education, seeking to build bridges across the human rights, education and development disciplines.

Join the team and you will get involved in implementing a range of RTE projects and initiatives. This will include assisting legal research, helping to develop and maintain our website (www.right-to-education.org) and supporting events and activities.

As well as being committed to the right to education, you will need a solid understanding of international human rights law, including economic and social rights. You will need excellent research and analytical skills, and will help us to draft case studies, background papers, reports, and case-law summaries.  

Comfortable producing web content you will have excellent English writing and editing skills.

Experience using a content management system and fluency in French, Spanish and / or Arabic are preferred.

This volunteer position is unpaid but travel and lunch expenses will be covered. The position will last for six months and for a minimum of two days, ideally three.
