Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination Against Women
The Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) entered into force on 3 September 1981. It guarantees the right of all women to be free from discrimination and sets out obligations of States Parties that are designed to ensure the legal and practical enjoyment of that right by women.
