Declaration: The Principality of Liechtenstein declares in accordance with Article 2, paragraph 2, and in accordance with Article 3, paragraph 1, of the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages of 5 November 1992, that there are no regional or minority languages in the sense of the Charter in the territory of the Principality of Liechtenstein at the time of ratification.
Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities

Declaration: The Principality of Liechtenstein declares that Articles 24 and 25, in particular, of the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities of 1 February 1995 are to be understood having regard to the fact that no national minorities in the sense of the Framework Convention exist in the territory of the Principality of Liechtenstein. The Principality of Liechtenstein considers its ratification of the Framework Convention as an act of solidarity in the view of the objectives of the Convention.

Chapter III - Functions of the State
Art.15
The State shall devote particular attention to education and schooling. These must be so ordered and administered that, as a result of the co-operation of the family, the school and the church, the younger generation may be imbued with religious and moral principles and patriotic feelings, and may be fitted for future occupations.
Art.16
The whole field of education and schooling shall be under the supervision of the State, without prejudice to the inviolability of the doctrine of the Church.
Education shall be compulsory for all.
The State shall see to it that adequate compulsory instruction in the elementary subjects is given free of charge in public schools.
Religious instruction shall be given by the church authorities.
All persons having children in their care shall be responsible for seeing that they receive education of the standard prescribed for public elementary schools. Private education shall be allowed in so far as it is in conformity with the legal regulations governing length of schooling, educational aims, and arrangements prevailing in the public schools.
Art.17
The State shall assist and encourage continuation schools and lower-grade secondary schools.
It shall provide appropriate scholarships in order to assist children of good intellectual attainments, but without financial means, to attend higher schools.
